Gardening

THE PLAN
Playtime
We colored using only blue crayons for playtime today.  We drew lots of fish!

Two Little Hands
We stretched out our limbs and shook out our wiggles before doing our rhyme.  See this post for our Two Little Hands rhyme

All About Today
Friday's weather was warm and sunny!

Learning Time:
Today we read the tongue twister, "Peter Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers".  Each week during this Storytime session will feature a different nursery rhyme.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers;
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked;
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

We said the tongue twister over and over, and by the end the kids were pretty good at it!.

Read & Listen:

We read two books today!  First we listened to Tops and Bottoms by Janet Stevens.

Then we read Growing Vegetable Soup by Lois Ehlert.

Learning Time:
We tasted fruit!  We taste-tested peaches, pineapple, pears, mandarin oranges, and cherries.  Most of the kids liked all of the fruit, although I did have one that didn't like the mandarin oranges.  The majority of kids picked the cherry as their favorite!
