Friday's weather was cold and sunny!  We also talked about how we know when it's going to be spring (answer: it's going to be awhile).

Read & Listen:

We read two books today!  This Storytime session, we are focusing on different authors.  For this Storytime, we read books by Candace Fleming.    First we read Muncha, Muncha, Muncha (Cassie's favorite!).

Then we read The Cow Who Clucked.

After reading our books, we practiced our echoing skills using the instruments.  One boy got really excited to use our xylophone!  

Next week we are reading stories by Dr. Seuss!

We read three books today!  This Storytime session, we are focusing on different authors.  For our first Storytime, we read books by Wisconsin author Lois Ehlert.    First we read Feathers for Lunch.

Then we read Top Cat.

Finally we read Color Zoo.  Ehlert won a Caldecott Honor Award for Color Zoo in 1990.

**Just a reminder!  We have no regular Storytime next week.  Instead, we will have a Superhero Family Storytime next week!**

We read three books today!  This Storytime session, we are going to focus on different authors.  For our first Storytime, we read books by Laura Numeroff.  First we read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff.

  

Then we read If You Give a Cat a Cupcake by Laura Numeroff.

Finally we read If You Give a Pig a Pancake by Laura Numeroff.

Learning Time:

Also in this session, we are going to do math related Learning Time activities.  In this Storytime, we used our hands to measure things around the room.  We measured the carpet, a book, and my shoe.
