Eruption! : Volcanoes and the Science of Saving Lives by Elizabeth Rusch and Tom Uhlman goes into the background of volcanologists Andy Lockhart and John Pallister who investigate dangerous volcanoes that pose threats to more than one billion people worldwide.  This book has great information about the different types of volcanoes and the other effects events that happen besides eruptions: lahars, pyroclastic flows, and ash falls.

Bean and Bacon Days 2013
