Friday's weather was cold and sunny!  Winter is sticking around for the time being.

Read & Listen:

We read two books today!  This Storytime session, we are focusing on different authors.  For this Storytime, we read books by Kate & Jim McMullan.    We first read I Stink!

We also sang The Wheels on the Bus!

The wheels on the bus go round and round

Round and round, round and round

The wheels on the bus go round and round

All through the town.

(continue with other verses)

The wipers on the bus go "Swish, swish, swish…

The baby on the bus says, "Wah, wah, wah…

The people on the bus say, "Shh, shh, shh…

Then we read I'm Bad!

Learning Time

We played the really fun math game again today.  The kids had to roll the dice, find the number on the worksheet, and then color it in with a crayon.  The girl had more luck rolling the numbers on the dice, while the boy had trouble with rolling the correct numbers.

We read two books today!  This Storytime session, we are focusing on different authors.  For this Storytime, we read books by Jez Alborough.    We first read Where's My Teddy?

We also said this really fun Teddy Bear rhyme:

Teddy bear, teddy bear,

Turn around!

Teddy bear, teddy bear,

Touch the ground!

Teddy bear, teddy bear,

Jump up high!

Teddy bear, teddy bear,

Touch the sky!

Learning Time

We played a really fun math game today.  The kids had to roll the dice, find the number on the worksheet, and then color it in with a crayon.  One kid was so lucky, he rolled all of the numbers right away!  Another girl wasn't so lucky, and had to keep rolling to get the right numbers.  Great game, and I think I'll be using this game again.

We talked today about how many letters we had in our first, middle, and last names.  We also talked about which person had the most letters and the least letters.
